- Katrina Watts
I was driving down the road the other day, listening to my two year old chatter on and on. I started thinking about all the things that she has already learned in her two short years. Every time we drive by Wal-mart she says," Let’s go Wal-mart!" If we pass the street we live on, heading somewhere else, she is quick to ask, "Why don’t we go to mama’s house?" My favorite is when we pull up to Rossview and she says, "Church mama! Let’s go to church!"
In just a short period of time she has learned so many things. It makes me think about our ministry in Grace Acres and how crucial it is . . . this is not a daycare or a babysitting service. It is a MINISTRY! The first five years of a child’s life are SO important. We hear about a lot of emphasis being placed on reading to your children, teaching them numbers, colors, and shapes, which is important … but what about Jesus? Isn’t that the most important thing you can teach your child? Grace Acres is a place where children are learning simple truths about God. It is a place where we want to partner with you as you teach your children about God. The time is now and there’s nothing more important that you can teach them in these early years.
We are always looking for more people to serve in Grace Acres. There are many different areas in which you can serve. If you’d like to be a part of this ministry, e-mail: office@gcomchurch or visit our website www.gcomkids.com.
