Overwhelmed?
Life throws us many opportunities to be overwhelmed…
Work
Marriage
Parenting
Disasters
Whether it’s how to raise Godly children, have a Godly marriage, work issues, day to day normal stuff, or rising flood waters, we could live in an overwhelmed state.
But that is NOT what God has called us to…think about Joseph, Paul or countless others in scripture. There were many times in their lives they could have let their circumstances just overwhelm them. But they didn’t and they continued to cling to God’s plan for them and push through the circumstances.
Today I challenge you, whatever it is that overwhelms you, give it to God (I know that sounds trite), but really GIVE it to Him and see what beautiful plan he can show you through it.
I Peter 5:7-11
“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.”
