Sometimes when a New Year starts, we try to forget the previous one and look forward to all the “new” things to come. When I think about 2010 in the life of Grace Community Church, I think we should look forward to all the “new” exciting things that God has in store for us.
Yet, in the midst of planning and dreaming about all the “new,” I’m excited that as a staff at GCC, we are not going to forget the “old.” I’m glad to be at a church that knows who God has called us to be and we will continue to carry that vision into every new adventure God throws our way.
In 2009, many people told us they were drawn to Grace because we were warm, friendly, and accepting. We saw many lives change as people discovered God’s love for them. We saw many face their addictions head on, some came out victorious and some did not. We saw marriages saved and marriages end. We rejoiced over children born and we grieved over some we lost.
But through it all, GCC remains a place where we embrace it all and love people just as Jesus did. I hope no matter what 2010 and beyond holds for Grace, we never lose sight of that!
Bring it on God, we’re ready!
