Is your child in Grace Acres?

Ok, so I'm going to be the first to admit that as a parent I don't always work with my daughter through the week on her monthly memory verse and basic truth that we have in Grace Acres ... and yes, I AM the preschool director. We try, but it doesn't always happen and this has been one of those crazy months. So tonight she was walking through the hall and I heard her talking to herself (as she often does), and I said, "Hey Sweetie, what are you saying?" She said, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart." I went, "WHAT? Say that again, please." "Ok, Mama, 'trust in the Lord with all your heart." Whoa! I was thinking, "Hey, I didn't teach her that!" Anyone want to guess where she learned that? Yep, Grace Acres! Wow, praise you Jesus! That is the first verse my sweet daughter has learned completely and on her own and I was esstatic. She was laughing at me because I was so excited!

So, here's the point ... Grace Acres is a GREAT place for your child to be on Sunday mornings. We are NOT a daycare facility. We are dedicated to teaching God's Word, encouraging His truths, and loving these children with God's love. It works! I see it every week, but seeing it with my own daughter made it really personal. My desire for my daughter (and myself) is this:

"But He knows the way that I take: When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold. My foot has held fast to His steps; I have kept His way and not turned aside. I have not departed from the commandment of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my necessary food." Job 23:10-12

Wow, that's powerful. Job desired God's Word more than his daily bread. I want that for my daughter, don't you want the same for your children? So they can stand firm in times of fear, frustration, anger, and temptation? It doesn't start when they are sixteen ... it starts now. From the day of their birth, you can begin to instill His Word and His power into their lives.

Here is the other cool thing about Grace Acres ... It is designed specifically for your preschooler! I went to service and God really showed me some things through Ron's sermon and the amazing praise and worship ... and let me tell ya, Ron is a great speaker and Michael and his team can rock it out! BUT ... my daughter would get nothing out of that service. That's why we have Grace Acres. So here is my challenge to the preschool parents and parents-to-be: if you haven't checked out Grace Acres, this SUNDAY is that day! We have the most amazing volunteers that love children and love the Lord. They will be glad to take a tour with you, answer your questions, and, of course, love on your sweet children. Think about it ... I can't wait to partner with you as your children grown and learn to walk in the ways of the Lord. All the glory goes to Him! See you Sunday!

What a lovely and inspiring story! I'm currently living in Dublin, Ireland. I'm originally from Atlanta and my family live in Clarksville. I would love to get my nieces involved in Grace Acres. They're two and four. I'm coming to stay in Clarksville in September and would love to visit and hopefully be able to bring them along!! Thanks for the story!
